CRITERIA FOR THE ACQUISITION OF ASSOCIATE ORGANIZATION STATUS OR MEMBERSHIP.
The quality of adherent organization or associated person is equivalent to having the membership of the CORPORACIÓN RED LESLAC, so it is understood that in the bylaws of the corporation one or the other expression will be used.
The admission of new adherent organizations and associated persons shall be mediated by the criteria described below.
They can be ASSOCIATED
1. Organizations, collectives, groupings, and networks of organizations and networks of individuals.
2. Personal activists
Profile of Aspiring Member Organizations
They must be organizations explicitly formed and led by lesbians, and that their main raison d'être is the work for lesbian rights in their respective countries. Non-legally constituted organizations may be admitted if adequate and reasonable justification is found for not being legally constituted.
Profile of the persons aspiring to become associates
They must be lesbians and feminists who develop autonomous, continuous and verifiable actions in defense and promotion of the human rights of lesbians in their respective countries and who are not part of any organization or collective.
Experience of aspiring member organizations
Demonstrate experience of more than three years in the management of projects, actions and/or activities with and for lesbians. Be able to demonstrate trajectory and sustained work over time for the defense of lesbian human rights. Demonstrate that he/she has worked in the field of strengthening, advocacy or research on lesbian issues at the national or international level.
Motivation (applies to both aspiring member organizations and aspiring associates)
- Applicant organizations must support their intention to become part of the LESLAC NETWORK CORPORATION with two recommendations from organizations with legal status that are lesbian, feminist and/or human rights organizations of recognized trajectory.
- Applicants must submit a letter signed by them in which they summarize their background, experience, time of activism and the reasons why they have not joined or formed an organization or collective, which in turn serves as a letter of motivation. This must be accompanied by a letter of support issued by at least one lesbian allied organization with valid legal status that certifies their work, as well as a simple copy of their national identification document.

Application Form to join LESLAC
In this form your organization is making an expression of interest to join the Network of Lesbian and Bisexual Women's Organizations of Latin America and the Caribbean - LESLAC. This expression will be reviewed and evaluated according to the membership criteria of our bylaws by the Permanent Steering Committee. This is the first step of the membership application process and under no circumstances will is equivalent to the status of a partner organization.
